BOSTON, Mass. – Saint Joseph's College (14-15, 10-5 GNAC) swept a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's volleyball tri-match at Emmanuel College (16-10, 9-6 GNAC) on Saturday. The Monks opened with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-12) triumph over Mitchell College (7-18, 5-10 GNAC) and closed out the day – and regular season – with a 3-0 (26-24, 25-20, 25-18) victory over the host-Saints.

PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS:

With pair of victories, the Monks clinch the #6 seed in the GNAC Tournament and will play at #3 Johnson & Wales University in a GNAC quarterfinal on Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Emmanuel slides to the #7 slot and will host #10 Colby-Sawyer in a play-in game on Monday. Mitchell finishes the year with the same 5-10 record as Colby-Sawyer but misses the tourney due to a head to head loss to the Chargers.
