Women's Volleyball Drops A Pair Of Matches In Maine Roadtrip

WATERVILLE, Maine. — The Endicott women's volleyball team split a pair of matches on Saturday afternoon at the Margaret M. Crook Center against Illinois Wesleyan (L, 3-0) and Colby (L, 3-1). 


Ill. WESLEYAN 3, ENDICOTT 0 (25-27, 14-25, 11-25)

Krystina Schueler (Trumbull, Conn.) led the offense with six kills.

Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga.) also produced four kills, while Julia Giroux (Bedford, N.H.), Megan Murphy (Danvers, Mass.), and Kelsey Sanborn (Londonderry, N.H.) all chipped in with three putaways.

Savannah Cambell (Soquel, Calif.) ran the offense with 14 assists. 

Defensively, Emma Ruel (Duxbury, Mass.) recorded 10 digs to go along with one assist and a service ace.  


COLBY 3, ENDICOTT 1 (14-25, 25-17, 15-25, 21-25)

Helenbrook recorded a double-double attack with 11 kills and 14 digs, while Sanborn and Schueler registered nine and eight putaways, respectively.

Campell was facilitated the offense with 24 assists and on the other end, Ruel registered 11 digs.


BEYOND THE BOX SCORES

  • Endicott is now 0-2 against Ill. Wesleyan and 7-4 against Colby.
  • Helenbrook led the way for the Gulls with 15 kills combined between both matches.
  • Campbell had 38 assists to go with two service aces across the two matches.
  • At the net, Murphy recorded two solo blocks and two block assists to led Endicott.

Endicott (9-12) hosts the University of New England on Thursday, October 26 at 6 PM.
