Women’s Volleyball Tops Curry, 3-0

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's volleyball team defeated Curry College, 3-0, by scores of 25-13, 25-9, and 25-21 on Saturday evening at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Nicole Winkler (Southborough, Mass.) registered a match-high 11 kills on 19 swings (.526) to go along with three block assists to lead the Gulls.

Endicott also received eight kills (.583) from Colleen McAvoy (Coventry, Conn.), six putaways (.500) via Carley Gagnon (Goffstown, N.H.), and five kills apiece from Krystina Schueler (Trumbull, Conn.) and Remi Quesnelle (Sunderland, Mass.), respectively, in the win.

Meanwhile, Zoey Gifford (Natick, Mass.) ran the majority of the offense with a match-high 15 assists, while Lauren McGrath (Franklin, Mass.) chipped in with 11 and Karly Pedbereznak (Cheshire, Conn.) had nine.

Defensively, Nichole Trudon (Coventry, Conn.) highlighted the squad with a team-high 12 digs.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 10-0 all-time against Curry.
  • Today's match only had six tie scores and five lead changes.
  • The Gulls improved to 7-2 at home this season.
  • Endicott has won three matches in a row.

Endicott (18-7, 6-0 CCC) travels to the University of New England on Wednesday, October 30 at 7 PM. Curry (13-11, 0-6 CCC) visits Roger Williams next Wednesday at 7 PM.
