HENNIKER, N.H. - September 30, 2017 - The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team began North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play on Saturday with a pair of 3-0 victories over Castleton and Green Mountain. The matches were played at New England College.
The Chargers improve to 6-12 overall and 2-0 in the NAC after defeating Castleton by scores of 25-15, 25-13 and 25-17 and Green Mountain 25-14, 25-12 and 25-9. Colby-Sawyer plays at Norwich on Wednesday.
COLBY-SAWYER 3, CASTLETON 0 - 25-15, 25-13, 25-17
Courtney Murray and
Alli Lahiff had 12 kills apiece to lead Colby-Sawyer. Lahiff hit an impressive .588 and added four aces.
Rebecca Straubel added seven kills, nine digs and four aces.
Olivia Goodrich ran the offense with 33 assists.
Morgan Flynn finished with match-high 11 digs.
The Spartans received four kills from Greta Hoehn and Kimberly Jackson. Hoehn added a team best seven digs and three aces. Maria Jackson contributed nine assists, three kills and four digs.

The Chargers were led by
Courtney Murray's 10 kills on .318 hitting.
Nicole Olivieri registered sieven digs, four aces and three kills.
Nicole Matcheski contributed three kills on five attacks. Lahiff added eight more kills in the win.
Madison Wheeler led Green Mountain with seven kills and 11 digs. Bryanna Hopple tallied 12 assists and seven digs.
