POTSDAM, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam volleyball team (10-14) defeated SUNY Canton (6-20) 3-1 (25-15, 25-21, 23-25, 25-22) on Senior Night. The Bears rallied from a 19-11 deficit in the fourth set to put the Kangaroos away. The duo of freshman outside hitter
Jessica Ader (Highland Mills, N.Y./Monroe-Woodbury) and junior captain
Nicole Hansen (Fulton, N.Y./G. Ray Bodley) led the Bears again. Ader had a match-best 13 kills and 14 digs, while Hansen finished with 12 kills and eight digs.

Natalie Magallon (Commerce, Calif./Bell Gardens) totaled 21 digs, four aces and four assists and freshman setter
Kendall Jones (Parker, Colo./Elizabeth) added 37 assists. Sophomore middle hitter
Emme Price (Glendale, Ariz./Deer Valley) posted three blocks and freshman outside hitter
Mikayla Myers (Gloversville, N.Y./Mayfield) chipped in two.
Senior middle back Melissa McMaster (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford-Mendon) led the Roos with 10 kills and three blocks. Senior right side Marissa Ixtlahuac (Carthage, N.Y./Carthage) had eight kills, as did junior outside hitter Skye Hansen (Rochester, N.Y./Irondequoit). Freshman setter Ashton Houppert (Lowville, N.Y./Beaver River) contributed 21 assists and three aces and senior libero Jenna Roat (Penfield, N.Y./Penfield) had 22 digs and three aces. Senior middle back Brynna Harris (Mead, Colo./Mead) totaled 14 assists, nine digs and a block and sophomore outside hitter Peyton Nadeau (Parish, N.Y./APW) had seven digs.

The Bears wrap up the season at the Skidmore Invitational this weekend. Potsdam faces Morrisville on Friday at 5 p.m. and then battles the host Thoroughbreds and Union College at 10 a.m. and noon, respectively on Saturday.
