North Adams, MA- The fourth seeded MCLA women's volleyball team received 16 kills and 18 digs from Kelly Moczulski as they earned a hard fought 3-1 win over fifth seeded Worcester State University in the quarterfinal round of the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletics Conference tournament.  With the win, the Trailblazers (19-10) advance to face the top seeded Westfield State Owls on Thursday night at 7pm.  The contest is in Westfield.

Worcester State ends their season at 8-20.

The Lancers took the opening set 25-22 to take an early lead.  Worcester almost stole the second set as they tied the score at 25-25, but MCLA would take the final two points to pull out a 27-25 set win.  The Trailblazers would close out the match with a 25-19 win in the pivotal third and 25-21 in the fourth and final set to earn the win.

Moczulski, the nine time reigning rookie of the week, needed 48 attacks to grab her 16 kills.  She added 3 assists to her stat line.  Moczulski had plenty of help as Madison Jayne set a career high with 15 kills and 8 digs.  Reagan Scattergood chipped in with 10 kills for MCLA.

Tessa Sestito was outstanding as she ended with 44 assists and 23 digs for the Trailblazers.  Natasha Stewart collected 21 digs while Ahna Schlaefer had 21 of her own.
