Boston, MA - The Lasell Lasers Women's Volleyball team split a tri-match with Simmons and Clark on Saturday, bringing their record to 19-3 on the season and 8-2 in GNAC play.

Match One vs Simmons

It was a case of deja vu for the Lasers as they suffered their second consecutive five set GNAC loss, as they fell to Simmons by a final score of 25-22, 26-24, 18-25, 21-25, 12-15. It was an eerily similar game to their loss to JWU earlier in the week, as the Lasers went up 2-0, lost the third and fourth, and then fell in the fifth. Both matches also featured a 9-9 tie in the fifth.

It was a balanced attack by the Lasers, as five different players recorded at least six kills in Juliana Medini (14), Camila Lopez (8), McKenna McCool (7), Madalyn Scully (7), and Emily VanHouten (6). Sydney katz was in the middle of a lot of those as she had 29 set assists. Three Lasers finished with double-digit digs in Maddie Caro (18), Lopez (13), and Katz (10).

Match Two vs Clark

The Lasers bounced back with a four set win, defeating the Cougars 25-23, 27-29, 25-18, 25-16. It was a two headed attack on offense, as Tori Scambray led the team with 17 kills, just ahead of McKenna McCool who had 16. Juliana Medini was next with nine kills. Saige Cambonga-Meyers had 22 set assists, just ahead of Sydney Katz who had 18. Both Katz and McCool logged a double-double by collecting 10 and 11 digs respectively. The lasers were led in digs by Maddie Caro's 17. Scambray chipped in nine digs.

Up Next - The Lasers will take on Regis on the road on Wednesday at 7pm.
