NEWVA All-New England and Senior Classic
BOSTON, Mass. – The NEWVA Senior Classic, the annual all-star event sponsored by adidas and The Graphic Edge, was held on Sunday, December 6th at the Clark Athletic Center on the campus of UMass Boston.
Twenty-seven senior volleyball student-athletes from across 19 NCAA Division III New England programs represented their institutions in an event that included a skills competition and an all-star game. The teams were coached by Paul Dill (MIT) and Tim Byram (Endicott).
The award winners from the day’s events included:
Dark Gray Most Valuable Player – Alli Luppi, Eastern Conn. St.
Light Gray Most Valuable Player – Kelsey McGayhey, Springfield
Queen of the Court competition winner – Kellen Tensen, Johnson & Wales (R.I)
Ball Handling competition winner – Meryl Gibbs, MIT
