BEVERLY, Mass. - October 5, 2022 - For the fourth straight NEWVA coaches poll of the 2022 season, the Cardinals of Wesleyan (Conn.) have remained as the top team for the NEWVA coaches. The Cardinals jumped up to No. 12 in last week's AVCA Coaches Poll, and sit ahead of No. 24 Tufts, No. 18 Babson, Endicott and No. 19. MIT, who all respectively round out spots two through five.
The fourth NEWVA regional poll will be released on Tuesday, October, 11.

The Cardinals went a perfect 3-0 on the week, sweeping No. 19 MIT 3-0 in non-conference play, before taking down Colby (3-1) and Bates (3-0) in NESCAC play.
2. No. 24 Tufts (8-3, 3-1 NESCAC) | 180 points
The Jumbos went 2-0 on the week, taking down a pair of NESCAC opponents in Middlebury and Hamilton, both via 3-0 sweeps.
3. No. 18 Babson (15-1, 6-0 NEWMAC) | 171 points
The Beavers extended their winning streak to 14 with wins over WPI (3-0), Clark (3-0), and Gordon (3-0).
4. Endicott (9-3, 2-0 CCC) | 155 points
The Gulls went 2-0 on the week, earning sweeps over CCC foe Roger Williams mid-week, and NESCAC foe Middlebury on Saturday.
5. No. 19 (AVCA) MIT (13-2, 5-0 NEWMAC) | 132 points
The Engineers produced a 2-1 week, sweeping NEWMAC rival Springfield on Tuesday, before splitting their weekend tri-match with a loss to No. 12 Wesleyan (0-3), and a win over Smith (3-0).
