BEVERLY, Mass. - October 12, 2022 - For the fifth consecutive week, the Wesleyan Cardinals have remained atop the NEWVA Coaches Poll. The Cardinals jumped remained at No. 12 in last week's AVCA Coaches Poll, and sit ahead of No. 24 Tufts, Endicott, No. 22 Babson and No. 21. MIT.

The fifth NEWVA regional poll will be released on Tuesday, October, 18.

1. No. 12 Wesleyan (14-1, 6-0 NESCAC) | 225 points | 15 first place vote
2. No. 24 Tufts (10-4, 4-1 NESCAC) | 204 points

THE TOP FIVE

1. No. 16 Wesleyan (14-1, 6-0 NESCAC) | 225 points | 15 first place vote

The Cardinals went 2-0 on the week, recording two NESCAC wins with a 3-1 win over Williams, and a 3-0 sweep of Amherst.

2. No. 24 Tufts (10-4, 4-1 NESCAC) | 204 points

The Jumbos recorded a 2-1 week that saw the team earn a 3-2 over Colby and a 3-0 win over Bates in NESCAC play while taking a close 3-2 loss to AVCA No. 14 Hope.

3. Endicott (13-4, 4-0 CCC) | 197 points 

The Gulls went 4-1 on the week, losing to AVCA No. 14 Hope 3-0, but knocking off Nichols 3-0, Salve Regina 3-1, Brandeis 3-1 and capped the week by defeating then AVCA No. 18 Babson 3-1.

4. No. 21 Babson (17-2, 7-0 NEWMAC) | 178 points 

The Beavers produced a 2-1 week, with 3-1 wins over Emerson and Brandeis, before taking a 3-1 loss to Endicott.

5. No. 22 (AVCA) MIT (14-5, 6-0 NEWMAC) | 136 points

The Engineers went 1-3 on the week, knocking off Simmons 3-0, before taking three losses to AVCA Top-10 teams in No. 9 Wisconsin Whitewater 3-0, No. 8 Calvin 3-1, and No. 10 NYU 3-2.
