BEVERLY, Mass. - October 19, 2022 - For the sixth consecutive week, the Wesleyan Cardinals have stayed atop the NEWVA Coaches Poll. The Cardinals, who took their first NESCAC loss last week, sit at No. 12 in last week's AVCA Coaches Poll, and remain ahead of No. 24 Tufts, Endicott, No. 22 Babson and No. 21. MIT.

The seventh NEWVA regional poll will be released on Tuesday, October, 25.

1. No. 16 Wesleyan (16-2, 7-1 NESCAC) | 208 points | 13 first-place votes

The Cardinals went 2-1 last week, knocking off Connecticut College (3-0) and Endicott (3-0) before falling to Bowdoin (3-2) for their first NEWVA & NESCAC loss of the season.

2. No. 24 Tufts (13-4, 7-1 NESCAC) | 197 points | 1 first-place vote

The Jumbos produced a 3-0 week, all against NESCAC foes, knocking off Bowdoin (3-0), Williams (3-1) and Amherst (3-2), to move into a tie atop the NESCAC standings with Wesleyan.

3. Endicott (14-6, 5-0 CCC) | 173 points 

The Gulls went 1-2 on the week, knocking off CCC foe UNE (3-1), before falling to a pair of NEWVA-ranked teams in Wesleyan (0-3) and Coast Guard (0-3).

4. No. 21 Babson (18-2, 8-0 NEWMAC) | 171 points 

The Beavers won their lone match of the week, sweeping Wheaton 3-0 in NEWMAC action, ahead of their four-match week that consists of Simmons, Middlebury, Tufts and Williams.

5. No. 22 (AVCA) MIT (16-5, 7-0 NEWMAC) | 161 points

The Engineers went 2-0 on the week, taking down Clark (3-0) to remain undefeated in NEWMAC play, and Brandeis (3-0) to close out the week.
